Home Care & Companions, Inc. was founded on the principles of providing the most
professional, reliable, and honest caregivers for seniors' and families'
peace of mind. Co-founder Linda Polland, RN, FNP had
family experiences with parents needing assistance in addition to what she and family members could provide.
Linda continues to provide seniors in home care along with our staff, so we share what you and your family
are going through. We would trust our family members' care to the professional caregivers at Home Care & Companions, Inc.,
bringing you over 80 years of caregiving experience.
It is a difficult decision for all of us to have what is initially a stranger coming into our home. Our caregivers
are extremely sensitive to your preferences. We will be respectful of every aspect of your in home care.
You are always in charge.
Linda Polland, RN, FNP has an extensive medical professional background spanning 35 years. After completing a bachelor's nursing degree, she worked as an RN from 1969 through 1976.
Part of that period was on active duty with the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps. In 1978 she completed
a Masters in Health Services from the University of California along with the stringent demands of a Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked in a family practice with physicians from 1979 through
1982.
Linda was co-owner and operator of a very successful commercial catering business from 1983 to 1984 in the
San Francisco Bay Area. A transfer to San Diego brought her to the University of CA, San Diego Medical Center where she worked as a nurse practitioner and supervisor.
Linda cofounded Home Care & Companions in 1998 and has been dedicated to client care, medical support for families, and caregiver
oversight and development for the past eight years. Linda holds a current license from the CO State Board of Nursing. She and her family reside in Monument where they attend church
services regularly; Linda volunteers extensively at her church and for her child's school.
All of our professional caregivers have been individually screened and
carefully selected to meet our stringent requirements. Caregivers are selected partly based
on their experience, education, and abilities. Selection is also based on character, ethics,
and other traits which are so important in your day-to-day interactions with them: a caring personality,
a strong desire to help others, a strong work ethic, and self motivation to go beyond what is expected.
Volunteer and religious affiliations are also considered.
Our caregivers are all professionals. Your care needs will help determine which
caregiver will do the best job for you. Our caregivers
include nurses and former nurses, CNAs (certified nurse aides), PCPs (personal care providers) and
homemakers. All caregivers are CPR and First Aid trained and certified. All
of our caregivers are also provided with company training in critical areas
of eldercare and home care.
Caregivers interested in applying to Home Care & Companions, Inc. can call
Linda Polland at (719)337-3318 or (303)618-0785 (Douglas County). Unlike franchise home health services offering applications for download

and background check follows a review of the application packet. In-person interviews are offered to
